Other things to note

History:
In 1877, the house was built by the Cutting family. Immigrating from England they owned and operating The Cutting Hotel in Port Rowan before buying the land that Norfolk House sits on today. In Simcoe, the Cutting family owned and operated the Cutting Lumber Yard which was across the street from the house and you can still see remnants of the old train tracks that passed between the house and lumber yard which supplied lumber across Ontario. They also were involved in building many of the homes on James St. We are the 3rd family to own this property and are honoured to maintain its architectural significance and share its grand beauty with our guests.
