Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for staying at Nomad's Nest airbnb in Toronto, Ontario

We have been getting some regular questions from airbnb guests about staying at Nomad's Nest in Toronto, Ontario so we thought it would be a good time to publish the answers in one spot for everyone to see!

1. How do I get Downtown?

From our house it’s about a 10min walk to the streetcar which is then about 15-20min ride to the St. Clair West subway station. From there you will take the subway downtown.

From Union Station to the house it takes about an hour by transit (subway to St Clair West station, then streetcar, then walk up our street). By taxi it’s about 40min depending on traffic!! (see map)

2. Where can I park?

There is no parking on site, but temporary on-street permits are available from the City of Toronto website. Residential street parking has a maximum three-hour limit and overnight parking requires a permit (otherwise you will be ticketed). There are also 2 "Green P" parking lots within walking distance of the house.

3. Can I have an early check-in or late check-out?

Just ask! If we can accommodate, we are happy to allow an early check-in or late check-out of up to 2 hours. If we say “no” it’s because we have back-to-back bookings and need the time to clean between guests. We can store your luggage for up to 12 hours if needed.

4. I’m staying for 2 months. Do I have to clean?

For stays longer than 2 weeks we offer bi-weekly cleaning for a small fee. You also have free access to the washer and dryer so you can do laundry anytime!

5. How far are you from the airport?

Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) to Nomad’s Nest is a 30-35min taxi ride (see map)
